Hi and Welcome, thanks for looking me up.

First licensed in Nov 2008 as M6JKB, progressed to 2E0JKB in March 2010 and rapidly on to M0JKB in June 2010, took me by surprise, but there we are. Main modes are UHF VHF mobile including DStar and APRS.

I have two other hobbies, collecting and driving vintage cars, see http://szweddingcarservice.yolasite.com/ 785JKB, that's where the call sign originates from, we also have a 1960 Standard Pennant Companion (these are a very rare vehicle), and am Captain of The Boundary Norwich, Thursday night cribbage team, info here http://boundarycribbage.yolasite.com/

Have recently started taking part in the 80mCC contests, being a non contester this was a bit daunting to start, but thanks to the help and support from the club http://www.norfolkamateurradio.org/and the more experienced operators I hope to help the club to attain a credible result this year, after all if you are part of a club one should take part in the activities arranged.

Thanks must go to, Ken M0KJW who managed to talk me into amateur radio, Simon M0EBN and Rex G0CLR who managed to drag me kicking and screaming through the Amateur Radio syllabus, also to Malcolm G3PDH and Roger G3LDI, who have tolerated my luditeness and helped me get going on RTTY and MMTTY and MVARI for the club contests, and lastly but not leastly Uncle John G1HSL who gave me some inspiration and encouragement to go the distance. Thanks to one and all.

I have now started learning morse, under Roger, G3LDI's carefull guidance, and am currently at 5/18 wpm with a 50% correct rate, can only improve with a bit / lot of practice. Thanks to Roger for being extremely patient.....Now improved to 14/28 wpm and hoping to go airside soon!!

Well, been on air several times now and enjoying, especially the slower qso's, thanks to all for tolerating my sending hi.

More recently now Deputy Inland Controller for http://www.norfolkraynet.org.uk/find us here, were always looking to recruit willing new members
