Hello to one and all:-)

I monitor activity on 2M and 70cm FM calling frequencies whilst mobile and at my home in Blackpool UK.

At home I have started to use D Star during early 2015 as an alternative to the poor reception on HF Due to the excessive noise I receive. I have just recently ordered a DMR Radio, but yet to have a looksy at that!

I have two Icom ID-5100 radios at home. I also have an Icom ID-51 Anniversary Edition Handheld. Though D-Star may seem daunting at first, once you get the hang of it it makes a lot of sense and is a doddle!

I have my own personal hotspot for D-Star connectivity using a DV-Mega, a great litttle box of fun!

I use a Watson 300 vertical as my base antenna.

I also have access to the 10 meter band and use an Optima mk II, a great little rig connected to a Sirio Gainmaster.

I was born in Manchester in 1967. I have travelled to many countries during my UK RAF service and now live in Blackpool.
