The picture shows Dr Tony Whitaker G3RKL / ZL3RKL presenting me with an engraved goblet at the group meeting.

After many years being interested in amateur radio I decided I was going to get involved.By chance I met Gordon G4WEC urging me to go to the EagleRadio Group in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire. There I was introduced to Malcolm G3ZUI who is a tutor, and he agreed to teach me the Foundation course. I passed my Foundation licence exam on the 20th May 2010at the age of 74 years. I recieved my call sign M6CRE, which made me very proud.

I would also like to thank Nevil G3VDV for the photo and the Eagle RadioGroup membersfor all their help and advice.

I'm now getting in to D-Star which is a fantastic HOBBY, I listen to D-Star most of the day so hopefully I'll catch some of you on there to have a chat.
