MB6FC is a low power D-Star 'hotspot' operating on 144.825MHz and running 1 Watt ERP as per the OFCOM licence conditions issued to G4WIM
It is operational 24/7 and is usually connected to DCS 5B.
Despite the low ERP, due to the local terrain coverage is surprisingly good and corresponds well to the computer predictions shown below.
The equipment is a Kenwood D700 with a DVRPTR V2 modem / interface board / gateway connected directly to the internet.
The picture immediately below is the DVRPTR 2 Dstar controller sat on top the large black heat sink.
The other equipment in the picture is not related to the Dstar hotspot.
