Operating on HF 80m-6m,2m,70cm bands. All Modes, DX and DX Contests for HF/VHF/UHF. Using a Kenwood TS-2000x HF- 1.25cm with at times an Ameritron AL811H (using 811'sx4) or a Swan500cx. Wire antennas(G5RV and Carolina Windom 160) located 50-70ft AGL in the pine trees. Also heavily involved and use Dstar Reflectors, XReflectors, DSC, CCS both via DV(Digital Voice) and DD(Digital Data). I am using at this time a VHF DVAP, a UHF DVAP, and working on HF Dstar setup for 2014. All my Dstar Hotspots are using a Raspberry Pi as the Linux PC to connect to the Internet. I am working on a Android Linux version Hotspot at this time and a APRX Igate using a Android PC. You can catch me on the REF004B, REF030C, REF001C, and others at times. I use a IC-2820H, a IC-880H, and a IC-91AD on the Dstar Gateways at home or while traveling. I am retired. I also hunt, fish, and generally love the outdoors. I run an APRS Digipeater/Igate via N5VRP-1, N5VRP-7 helicopter (rc), N5VRP-1 Wx Station using TinyTrak4dks and Rtrak 2 systems. My career was embedded realtime systems using many different realtime os platforms. Some of them used my own kernel. I had and still have fun programming in realtime even robotics and such.

I use APRSIS32, UI-View32 and sometimes APRSIS-CE pocketpc for the helicopter flights. Use 2.4ghz Spread Spectrum for heli so as not to interfere with RF telemetry with helicopter. I am also working on a MESH Network for portable use and help others connect to the Internet. I help with all kits for

http://www.foxdelta.com were Amateur Radio Operators can build there own accessories for there radio shack. Check it out. You need to be an experienced kit builder to pursue these kits and good soldering skills.

New tower going up soon (Scratch that idea, decided to 120ft Pine Trees). I may actually put up a 48ft. tower this next year for 20-17-15-10-6 beam or have a separate 6 meter beam. Any way much to do in/outside the shack.

Hope to catch you on the air. Just have lots of fun with the hobby. Enjoy meeting all the wonderful hams out there.

Happy Hunting!!!
