Radio has always been a passion of mine ever since I can remember.   At the young age of 12, I earned my novice licence KC6VPD.  I quickly upgraded through the ranks and made it to extra the old fasioned traditional 20 wpm way of things.   Along my ham journey, I have had many call signs among them are: KC6VPD, KN6TT, W7JAG; and lastly N6IB.   I enjoy working HF DX.  My home station consists of: Icom IC-7100 160-70cm Tranceiver, Cushcraft A3S 10, 15; 20 triband yagi.

I am a IT Communications System Administrator for the County of Tulare, and my job focuses on that of public safety two way communications design, engeneering procurement and the deployment of field assets.

In my spare time, I enjoy building repeater systems and working on making them better ever strecthing their range and usefulness.   As of recent I have been involved in the digital progression of our hobby through that of  DMR.

Recently, we have been working with the Home Brew DMR repeaters utilizing CDM 1250 Radius GR1225 and MaxTrak radios through the utilization of the raspberry pi 3 Ardueino DUE and the MMDVM these little guys work so nice and are very affordable.
