Hello to all of my fellow Hams!  My name is Pete.  I have been fascinated with Ham radio since 1958.  My first radio was a Philco, Philadelphia C-660 in 1955.  Then later in 7th grade I had a friend who's father was a Ham.  He showed me this ham station. This made me more determined to become a Ham, but I was not able to buy a radio at this time.  Then when I was in high school I built an Allied Star Rommer radio  Then I moved up to a National NC-190, and then I became a short-wave listener, and became a member of a local short-wave club.  After getting my first job I became a Ham novice and two months later I became an Extra.  I worked agt Zenith in the Coil Lab for ten years and then I worked for Eastman Kodak for thirty years as a Field Engineer .  Now I am finally retired and use the following equipment:  For H.F.  I use ICOM IC-756 proII, VHF/UHF I use ID-5100 and for D-STAR I use a DV Access Point  and ID-51A plus RADIO.    As a side note, one of the most memorable things in my life dealing with the radio  (NC190) I was listening in late November in my dorm room when all of a sudded I heard a news flash about the assassination of John F Kennedy.  Then all the students came into my room and were listening to the broadcast from Dallas. As of may 2017 I now added a IC-7300, the best hf radio I every had1
