Hi, Thanks for looking me up !
I have been interested in radio and electronics almost from the day I could walk and so I became a Ham ( Licensed since 1996 ).
Born and raised in Meulebeke (West Flanders, Belgium) and studied electronic engineering, now working as an Procurement Engineer @ Barco.
Interest in building new antennas and make distant contacts using them
My HF station is a TS-480SAT with a surprisingly effective G5RV at 50 feet, 1/4 Carbon Fibre Vertical (mainly for 40 and 80) and a rotary dipole FB-13 (10-15-20 m) ► And of course other wire antennas which come and go...
FT-817ND: This one has become my MAIN rig, since I have been bitten by the QRP bug
and also the FT-817ND is a very nice transceiver for portable/vacation use ==> QRP is FUN !!!
Sometimes you can hear me on the HAM sat's (AO-51, VO-52). I used to work Radio Sputnik (RS) 10/11 and OSCAR 14 and had a lot of fun on these birds.
I'm also active on D-STAR using an ICOM IC-2820 & IC-91A. You may find me on REF028A, the Dutch-speaking Belgian repeaters and hotspots in Flanders.
