Antennas-

  • Hidaka VS-33  an old 3 element triband yagi working good on 10 and 15 m, ok on 20 meter
  • 5 element yagi for 50 MHz

I also like to build my own wire antennas

  • Multiband  loop antenna  (Lazy Loop)    83 meters long, 20 m above ground,  ladder line fed 450 ohm and a 4:1 balun
  • 1/4 wire GP for 7 MHz

Working modes -

  • FM, mainly on 29, 50, 144 MHz
  • SSB, all bands
  • BPSK-31, 80 - 10 m bands
  • My favorite bands are the magic 6 m  band and 10 meter band, often QRV on AM around 29.000 and FM 29.600

Contests-

  • SSB HF DX contests
  • CW/SSB/FM/BPSK in SAC/NAC contests (28-50-144 MHz)

Started with HAM radio in 1977 on 144 MHz, have been off the bands a couple of years until 2007 when I also start to work on HF bands.

I live in a small house in countryside near lake Malaren about 100 km west of Stockholm, closest city is Eskilstuna, 15 km away.

Other hobbies -

  • my motorcycle (Honda CBX600E 1983)
  • computers (also my occupation)
  • fishing
  • traveling ( last trip to Greece sep 2013)
