Hey all just wanted to say that I have always like radios from when I was about 10 years old my dad setup a CB base station with a scanner in are living room. I would watch him talk on the radio making new friends all the time and couldn't wait to give it a try. Over the years I have had many radios bases and mobiles but only CB always wanted to get get into ham radio but could never understand morse code. This past spring I went to a weather training and met some of the local hams and got back into radios again. So what I took away from the training made me want to be a ham even more. Talk to the wife and she said go head if that is what you want to do. Few months later I got my Tech license and working on my general.

Finely got a HF rig ICOM IC-746. It's a really nice unit now have to get my HF antenna picked out and ordered up. I went with a 80M Delta Loop for HF
