In the true spirit of radio i love Dxing & can often be found operating from various locations across Staffordshire in the UK.

Using a DriveMedical Mercury M48GT Mobility Scooter, For Dx operation I us a Yaesu FT-857D radio and new for September 2014, im now operating using a Buddipole Deluxe Long version mounted on a custom Mast which is 29ft in length this works very well those interested in further details are welcome to contact me, For details of my Disability Scooter please click the photo below for the manufacturers site.

For power, Im still carrying a 26Ah sealed lead acid battery in the front basket of my disability scooter so that im not using the main batterys of my scooter. I have a pair of these batterys so one can be on charge at home ready for possible portable dx the following day. I have also competed in my first Radio Amateur Foxhunt recently which consisted of six teams my team came third which was not bad for the first time around this proved to be fun and some inervation was used in tracking methods and in antenna design for the DF setup.

I'm a big fan of Dxing i can often be found operating from Parkhall Sand Quarry Park.

(M6DVK/P QRP Mrk1 73' Good Dx..)

I like to go dxing portable on a DriveMedical Mercury M48GT Disability Scooter, For Dx operation I us a Yaesu FT-857D radio and a Antron A99 vertical dipole antenna and i also at times carry a Diamond X510 Vertical Colinear for 2m/70cm whenever conditions are favourable, I work QRP 10 watts. Ive made a portable 10ft Telescopic mast from one side of a Aluminium telescopic set of ladders which i did not make use of. For power, I carry a 26Ah sealed lead acid battery in the front basket of my disability scooter so that im not using the batterys of my scooter. In my time of dxing i have confirmed 142 different countries and very much have enjoyed doing so.

I am a supporter of the DX Code of Conduct:

I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.

I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.

I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.

I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.

I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.

I will always send my full call sign.

I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.

I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.

I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.

I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.

When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.

I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.

I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.
