I enjoy internet linked systems using DMR, D-STAR, C4FM (YSF, FCS)

I also have five AllStar nodes, which are usually connected to HUBNet UK and The UK HUB Project (which i am an Admin for). For mobile or alternative locations away from home I use IAX to connect to the node via an F25 VoIP mobile device. One AllStar node is also EchoLink enabled. I am an Admin for The UK HUB Project, an AllStar/EchoLink network, which can be found on AllStar node 43909 or EchoLink G7KDZ-L and my node 42536 or Echolink 2E0ENN-L are permanently connected - please feel free to join us when you can.

I have an interest in  DMR and use DV4 Mini dongles and DVMegas with PiStar software at home and a DVMega/Bluestack with BlueDV for Android whilst mobile and GB7RR for access to the Brandmeister UK DMR network (reflector 4400), in cojunction with a Hytera PD365 for the DV4 and a Connect Systems CS700, TYT MD380 VHF version and a Retevis RT3 UHF version for other access, in addition to which, I also use a Radioddity GD77 dual band DMR handheld.

The DVMega is also used for C4FM and the radio used is a Yaesu FTM-3200D and I'm usually connected to FCS001 module 55 or FCS004 module 20.

I havea DVMega, used for Dstar, with Icom ID-51E and IC-E91 handhelds and I can be found on REF001-C or DCS005-B

For mobile use I use a Yaesu FT-7100M dual band radio, coupled to a Super Gainer SG7900 antenna, at home are a plethora of various Baofeng, Kenwood, Icom Alinco and Yaesu handhelds and shack radios for 2m and 70cm are a Yaesu FTM-100DE, Icom IC-E208 and a VHF Yaesu FT-2800M. The Icom is mainly used for a node radio for a second AllStar node, which is RF connected with a small micro magmount and 30db attenuator for personal use only. I also have a Yaesu FTM-3200D VHF analogue/C4FM mobile in the shack.. I frequent GB3GR/GB3FR/GB3FJ/GB3LM and GB3LS FM Analogue repeaters locally as well as 2m and 70cm Simplex FM.

It could be said of me that I have an addiction to buying radios that I don't really need, however, I can't resist a bargain and usually find myself delving into the coffers for something or other that has caught my eye (and eBay purchases after a glass or two of a beverage of an alcoholic nature, which clouds my better judgement). Perhaps that is why I'm a penniless Ham!

My location can be tracked on www.aprs.fi using my ID, 2E0ENN

I operate HF bands portable, using a Yaesu FT-817 with a multi-band, base loaded mobile antenna or a 10 metre long pole with an end fed wire (with 9:1 Un-Un) vertically or as a sloper with an LDG Z817 auto tuner. I also use various home brew dipoles and mobile antennas whilst portable.

Another of my rado interests is Numbers Stations - which I have been studying and stumbling across since 1978.

I am a member of the South Kesteven Amateur Radio Society (SKARS) - check the club website on www.skars.co.uk.

I live within the boundary of RAF Cranwell (my house was originally part of the Married Quarters), between the North Airfield (a grass strip, used for gliding) and the main South Airfield (Tutors, Super King Airs and Sentinel aircraft). My location means I am restricted in the height of my antennas - a bit of a hindrance for V/UHF, but I have a reasonable coverage, mainly to the east from here - west being a bit trickier due to geographical obstructions. Due to my location I no longer have an HF antenna installed, hence the interest in internet linked modes.

Outside of radio, my interests are Classic Cars and aviation. I have been passionate about classic cars, mainly British from the 1940's onwards, since childhood and I enjoy attending car club events. As I live more or less on an active airfield, and being only a short distance from RAF Waddington and RAF Coningsby, I get plenty of opportunity to indulge my aircraft interest.

I have a blog on www.digbydog1.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking at my page, hope to hear from as many as possible either on the air or via AllStar/Dstar/Fusion/C4FM/DMR
