Thanks for looking me up. My name is Richard and I live in Hull in East Yorkshire. (IO93ts)

I passed my Intermediate exam on 29th June 2004 and now using 2E0RHD callsign from my previous M3HAX.

I would like to get Full License so I'm reading the books and studying at home. I'm am about to start the Advanced Course with the aim of doing the exam in December. Fingers crossed!!

My main radio is an Icom 7600 with either a TGM MQ-36SR beam or a Carolina Windom 80special which are both about 30ft off the ground. I have a Heil 781 mic into a Behringer mic pre-amp, then into a Behringer processor which then goes into a Behringer mixer to the radio.

I have a Yaesu FT-857 which I have in my Van with an ATAS120 ariel.

My new addition is the Yaesu FT-817nd for some portable work and I've started doing some SOTA activations. I also have a Yaesu VX-8DE tri-band handheld which is great for when we go walking/camping and I'm using it for APRS and Satellite.

I'm on D-Star with my ID-51e handheld.

I'm also on WSPR... I use the SOTABEAMS WSPRLite and have been getting some good results. I know its not classed as a contact but I was happy that it has made some contacts with America even though I've not managed it yet vocally.

Please QSL preferably via the Bureau or you can use eQSL.

Check out my web site which is documenting my SOTA attempts: www.richardtownley.co.uk

Look forward to speaking with you again

73's ............Rich.
