My name is Stuart and i live in the city of Lincoln,England.

Just passed another exam and have a new callsign 2E0XXO.

My radio is an Icom 7300 with SM20 mike.

Main antenna is a homebrew Moxon antenna for 10m at 9m high turned by a spid rotator.

HF antenna is now a 10m vertical cut for 40m with buried radials.

New project  underway, a G0KSC 50mhz 5 element yagi.

I look forward to contacting you again soon.

i was very close!

The start of a new antenna project for me. first time for me making a 5 element yagi.

1.25" square boom with mounts i made for the stauffs to take the 1/2" elements.

Lets see how this goes over the winter, planning on getting it up for early spring 2018.

I was struggling to get square u bolts at the exact boom size, so i had to work out something to secure the boom to the mastplate. After a while with a hacksaw and some not very straight cuts i came up with this....It sort of makes sense in that the clamping pressure is spread over a wide area of the boom to stop it moving and clamping its back edge firmly onto the mastplate. Seems solid enough to me, i cannot get it to move at all.

The unusual set-up used to control my homebrew moxon. Designed to reduce the headload on the mast by bringing the 6kg rotator down from the top of the mast. Used the existing brackets and made the best of what i had to hand. So far no problems to report.
