Hi from2M0JLS, thank you for looking meup.
Personal at this end is John and the QTH is in Central Scotland about 18 miles from the capital city ofEdinburgh.
Previous to retiring I worked for 40 years in various locations as a firefighter which also included 5 years regular service in the Royal Air Force.
During that time I enjoyed a 3 years tour in the far East based at the former RAF Changi base which is now Singapore International Airport.
Later after service in the public fire service I then joined the Fire Dept in B.P. local refinery and chemical plants in Grangemouth.
My interest in Ham radio only began in Sept 2010 and I have now progressed to the intermediate license.
Being aged 77 I am quite pleased to have acheived that and am enjoying the bands
Main radio in use is a Yaesu FTdx3000 running 50watts via a Hustler vertical antenna
I can also run full waveband antenna for 2m 70 cms
I also have the Dstar icom 5100 for other modes on 2metres 70cms. That radio also acts as an excellent scanner for airband / marine bands / pmrs/ and any other 2m 70cms data you want to store on it. Excellent radio for SWL
Just recently Sept 2016 have now added the Yaesu FTM-100 DR/DE to my collection and an Icom 51E handy
So if you hear me on frequency please come in and give me a call. Happy DXing 73's from 2M0JLS
