Zeljko Curkovic, Split Croatia
Born in Zadar, Croatia 1970. Became interested in radios already as a small child, and got my first ham radio license in 1985. Amateur Radio has been with me ever since, as “the” hobby, and I have never really been off the air for very long periods of time except for work or study reasons. My previous job within UN has taken me to countries in which I have worked and lived for different lengths of time. And every time I have tried –and some times succeeded - to get a ham radio license in these places. I have been active as T98N from Bosnia and Herzegovina. ZA/9A4NA from Tirana, Albania, AP2AUM Peshawar, Pakistan. For the past 10 years I live and work in Split, Croatia. I am active mostly on HF bands CW and SSB with kenwood ts-850, ameritorn al-811 amplifier and different antennas. Also, active while hiking using my ft-817 or while sailing using ic-706. I have been collecting old radios and morse keys so there are few radios at my home or at my weekend house. Enjoying using radios that glow in the dark. Collins 51s-1, 51j-4 and many more.
Some of my collins gear at my weekend house.
Guest operator at AP2AUM home.
My son operating radios at my previous home some years ago.
