First i want to say I LOVE ham radio. Second is I'm currently not on the Air. I've tried a few radios and just can't seem to get past the vision issue. Most of the radios that offer and external display are way to expensive for me. Maybe Soon I can get into the flex radio world. The flex 6300 with the Marstro looks like a good fit for my lack of vision I absolutly love everything that goes into setting up a Ham Shack, setting up feild day operations, and just getting out and talking to as many Hams as i can. I currently do not send QSL cards, I will have a bunch eventually, and will again start sending them out. I have been out of ham radio for a long time, Working as a Police Officer, and 911 Dispatcher kept me busy. I am no londer working, and am retired due to having recently a plate put in my neck c6-c7 from advanced degenerative disc desease, and spinalnossis which has caused over 9 ruptured disc so far.was born with a cycst in each eye on the retna which leaves me leagaly blind, glasses sure help tho..i am very thankful for Ham Radio and the hobby in general as it helps me deal with forgetting my pain and discomfort for a while through out each day. I thank god as well cus i know one day i will be healed when i get to heaven.until then i look forward to talking with as many hams as i can. you guys and gals keep me going day to day. SOOO Thank You..ok thats about it for now,see you on the wire.....
