Greetings Fellow Amateurs

I got my novice license at age 16 (in 1969).  My first call was "WN8EEV".

I got my General license in 1975 with call sign WB8USM.

I had a Korean call HL9WE in 1979 (while in the Army).

I upgraded to Extra (before the no-code deals) somewhere around 1992.

I enjoy designing & building ham projects.
I do a bit of tube equipment restoration.. lots of boat anchor stuff in what seems like an endless "to-do" queue .
I have a pretty nice test bench and a ridiculous amount of "parts".

On HF,  I seem to favor 40 Meters..  probably due to my 1969 era CW novice roots.

I retired from the Army in 1993 and since then I have been working for a telecom company here in AZ.
