First licenced in 1991, finally upgraded to extra June 2016.     Base station is  Yaesu FT 450d, Palstar auto tuner, Elecraft KDA 500 amp.  Antennas; Alpha Delta DXCC as a inverted V, peak at 40'  & a  Gap Titan .  6 mtr Par omni on 30 ft pole. Phone and a little digital are my modes of chatting.

Mobile set up is FT 857d , Tar Heel 200A mounted on the hitch of mini van.  Heavy wires from main car battery back to aux battery to run radio gear.  Power goes to West Mtn ISO Power to protect the car battery, then to aux battery, into a N8XJK super booster (maintain steady pwr) to rig runner.  Also have Ameritron ALS 500 amp for when I just can't get thru on 100 wts. Experimenting  with Harbor Frt 45 watt solar kit.   The panels fit very nicely on the luggage rack. Solar pwr into controler to 80 amp hr deep cycle.  Swap the cords to booster and can use either battery.   Had the panels and 80 Ahr battery setting around  so figured let's try something different.   Seems to be working.   Have swr/pwr meter up front along with  other  remote controls.      FT 8800 completes the set up for 2 mtr and 440.

I run a 6' whip most of the time but do have a couple of cap hats that I play with from time to time.    I love to mobile & as a ham out side of Moscow said one day, "Don't change a thing, good signal"    So if it's not broke don't mess with it.  Ok have you ever seen a ham not tweak it someplace?  :-))

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to chat with you on the air.

I QSL  100%  Please contact me direct with SASE,  via LoTW or the bureau.
