Physics geek, misplaced Canuck.

I work with much higher frequency EM radiation for my day job. It lets me get images like this of some of my gadgets, like my Yaesu VX8-DR.

VX8-DR x-ray

In the shack is a Kenwood TS-480SAT feeding a G0FAH/ZS6BKW dipole (an optimized G5RV). A fiberglass mast gets the center antenna up about 35-40' in the air (depending on how many sections i feel like hoisting up)

I'm slowly working on learning Morse Code. I remember how to tap out a dozen or so letters now, but recognizing them is a little harder. I've been practicing on one of these

In 2013, I added these to my collection of toys to practice (and maybe eventually send) Morse Code with.

In September 2014, I earned a Canadian Amateur Radio Certificate and have the call sign VA6BUG for when I'm traveling around in Canada.

You can also find me on Twitter (@imabug), Facebook and Google+.
