I got my first liciense in the 50's, call was WN4ERQ, didn't upgrade and could not renew so I became inactive. Decided I wanted to get my ticket back in 1997, took the novice, code, and tech. test at the same time at the Hazard Hamfest recieved the call KF4PQW. Upgraded to general in 1998 and advanced in 1999, both at Hazard Ky. Upgraded to extra class in 2000 at Somerset Ky. I'm active in the Ky. Mountain Amateur Radio Club in Hazard Ky. and a member of the Harlan County Amateur Radio Club in Harlan Ky. I'm also the team leader for the local VE team.  The Harlan County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of every month and VE exams are available, with advance notice, after the club meeting.  My contact info is whensley@harlanonline.net

My station is as follows. FT1000MP MK V, FT 847 with matching tuner, Cushcraft A3 tri-bander for 10-15- and 20  up about 40 feet, also have a dipole for 80 and 40 M in inverted V config. apex is about 50 feet high. I am a casual ham, no contesting, no chasing dx. If you hear me stop by for a casual QSO. Wayne
