Ham Member Lookups: 6967

I am a 4th generation Oregonian who currently lives in Florida. (I got a good job offer and here I am). I have been licensed since 1995 (KC7OAQ) and an extra class since 2001. My lovely wife, Mary, is not a ham but the most tolerent YL around. I enjoy working all the bands from 80 meters to 70 cm. mostly SSB and the Satellites but I also use the digital modes such as PSK-31. I home build some of my own equipment and nearly all my antennas. I am currently using a Yaesu FTDx-3000D for HF, an  FT-847 for satellite operations and an FT-857D mobile.  The antennas currently in use at home are a 43 foot vertical with an MFJ autotuner (rated at 1.5 kw) and a Spider Beam (5 band) on a 40 foot tower for HF, for satellite, 2 meter 14 element CP yagi and a 70 cm 20 element CP yagi.  My mobile antenna is a Yaesu ATAS-120A, a GREAT antenna !!!   We moved the first of June 2014 into a real house, after 15 years in a mobile home.  Boy do we enjoy that!!

The first image below is my hobby area where I build and repair  things, the second is my Satellite antennas (they are homemade) with the 43' vertical in the background.  The last image is my operating area.  The radio, sat controls, rotor controls and digi selector are all on the right.  Top center is the FTDx3000D with antenna controls to the left and the power and speaker to the right and below it is the compiter monitor, on the left is the Ameritron amp.
