Biography:

Ken Suzuki, BV1EL is originally from Japan. He got his first amateur radio license 7M1STT in 1991 when he was 13 years old. He went on a short-term study abroad to San Francisco in the year 2000 when he was at college, then became W6STT. He was graduated at Tokyo Univ. of Mercantile Marine (major in navigation) in 2002. From 2005 to 2010, he had been worked for Hong Kong and Southern China branch office of Japanese electronics device manufacturer and also enjoyed ham radio under the call of VR2RR. In 2010, they moved to Taiwan and then got station license of BV1EL. Now he is working for Taiwanese local IT peripheral manufacturer. He is married with two young kids.

Yilan City, historically spelled Ilan or I-lan, is the capital of Yilan County, Taiwan.

It's located about 50km south east of Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
