Thank you for looking, and a QSO witch we most likely just had.

My primary interests in HAM RADIO are:

DXing and casual contesting. Active on all HF bands and most popular modes: SSB, CW, RTTY and DIGITAL.

During the week most of  HF activities for me using JT65 and JT9.

I am also trying to get on MSK144 fo 6M (tnx. for you patience)

From time to time I may have 2-3 radios on HF bands and 6M, running them remotly over network using a couple of raspbery PI3 with signalik interfaces.

Running WSJT-X 1.7.0 rc3 installed to Raspberry Pi3 over Raspbian. As well as Win base PC with the best software for HF: JTDX 17.4

My QTH  just right on the city line of Metro Toronto, so antenna setup dictated by the reality of the urban area a.k.a. postage size backyard hi hi :

ANTENNA TX/RX:

6 METER (two vertically stacked) M2 HO LOOPS AT 26FT & 14FT

6 METER  MOXON SM-50 at 16 FT manualy rotated on fiberglass pole.

6 METER  MOXON SM-50  on the balcony of 30th floor of the building at aprox 300FT above ground. pointing 280 degrees.

temprorary setup at FN03iq this QTH  mostly remote op.

10-80 METER VERTICAL WIRE (14G) at ( 10 meter up with elevated feedpoint1.5ft ) with 8x27 FT steel mesh for the ground feed with 450 OM ladder line to indor autotuner with 9:1 balun. total lenght of conductor is 43ft reduced by velocity factor aprx to 12.7m with first 5.5 meters straight up and the rest hellicaly wound. woks like a charm especially with some snow on the ground.

this one is temproraty down due to lack of space., I would like to put it up again befro end of this season:

10-160 METER HELICALLY WOUND VERTICAL (at about 40 FT up) combination of fiberglass pole , telescopic fishing rod  feed by ladder line and some chain link fence for counterpoise. With original intended use for 160M, however tuning on all HF bands with a tuner shows good performance 30 through 80 meters., I am especially happy with resulsts on 3,5 Mhz since its deployment I am able to work SSB stations in EU and pacific with modest power. Also it gives me an opportunity have occaisonal QSO on 160 over Atlantic.

On 160 meter band when WX permits occasional use of 1/2 wave vertical wire ( aprx 74m)hooked to 3ft in diameter helium balloon, so when you hear me on 160 especially outside of NA please give it a try each QSO with any station over 3000 km on 1.8 MhZ is a big deal with this antenna setup .

 ANTENNAS RX only:

  •  -Magnetic loops antenna for 160M & 80M made of Heliax cable with perimeter 20 feet and 10 feet accordingly.

  • - Two phased RX verticals by DX Engineering
