I got my license at my last year at high school 1993 and joined the DARC (now DOK C06).

Real activity started a little bit later in Erlangen on UHF and VHF, especially in contesting and award hunting. So I became a member of the DIG , nr 5444.

In addition I started at some ARDF competitions and build my own ATV station on 23cm and 13cm band.

Satellite operation with Doppler shift is fascinating, and particularly working astronauts on the space station MIR and ISS with 20 watts.

During my time at college I am part of the organisation for the youth-field-day DA0YFD starting 1996 – the first big FD made by young OMs in Germany.

Interests changed again as the shortwave opened to all HAMs: DXCC hunting and contesting on shortwave raised to prio one. Consequence of this is the membership at the Bavarian Contest Club BCC.

In 2011 and 2012 I got the chance to travel to Belize. With V31TF I had much fun in working pile-ups from the other side.

Now a big goal has been reached: DXCC, 5B-DXCC, DXCC-challenge and WAC have been awarded. Still working for new band slots and the WAE trophy (all WAE countries on 5 bands).

Contestoperator at: V31GW, DR5Z, DA0BCC, DQ4W, DP6A, DK0OD, DL0KC, DK0NO, DA0PAS, D?0YFD, DK0FAU, DA0WCR, DK0GYB, DL0PF
