Attention: VK9AA activities from 2017 and later are not from Bernd, but from HL2UVH. QSL PSE via his call HL2UVH

Actually I am QSL-Manager for Bernd: DL1VJ, VK2IA, VK6AA and VK9AA (VK9AA until 2009) and also VK1FOC/2 .4.6.8 with different OPs during may 2013 and AX6AA in 2013. I am not manager for EK7DX !!!

Most of the former DX-Activities of Bernd (look on VK6AA) can be handled by QSL-card if first cleared by email with Bernd. These are : 9H3VJ,  JY9VC,  5T5XX,  JY8VJ,  JY4OVJ,  VK9AA/9 (Norfolk),  DL1VJ/T5,  ZL0ADV,  LX/DL1VJ,  DL1VJ/VY1,  TA1KA/2,  FR/DL1VJ ... and some more

I will put the QSLs of VK6AA and VK9AA from 2008 until now in the bureau managing a few hundred QSLs every month. The former manager Peter DL8YR unfortunely became a SK in 2012. He was not able to handle QSLs later than early 2008.

The QSLs from my VHF activity as LA/DK2BJ from different WW-squares will uploaded to LotW and may be later on to E-QSL. Bureau and direct will be managed as well.

QSLs PSE via DARC bureau or direct with SAE, 2 GS or 1 Euro. Pse no IRCs any more, because the local post office will not accept them any longer.

A little bit of my history:

I was born in 1948 and got a licence with my callsign DK2BJ in late 1966. First I worked on 80m and 40m with homebuild tube equipment. My first receiver was a homebuild 2-tube 0-V-2 and the transmitter with a RL12P35 tube from times of 2nd world war. Then I studied electric engineering at the Technical University RWTH-AACHEN and then did scientific working for a couple of years at the University.

Since the early 1980s I started working as a teacher at a secondary high-school in Aachen handling the subjects: mathematics, physics, general technics and informatics, but now retired since August 2013.

After beeing licenced I had some years of changing activity on the shortwave bands.
About 1980 I started with VHF seriously, first on 2m. During the following years I worked more than 300 grid-squares only on this band and did also some EME-QSOs. During that time I did seriously contesting on 2 meters in a group of VHF-Contesters with own callsign and later DF0OL, about 15 times winning the competition in Germany.
In the early 90s I have got one of the first 6m licences in Germany and have been active on this band too until now. I  activated some rare grid-squares within Northern-Europe doing MS and a lot of aurora QSOs in the 1990s on 6m and 2m. Actually I am QRV on all bands starting at 160m topband up to 13 cms. My hugest construction was a 5m-diameter magnetic loop for 80m and 160m mounted around a tree in my garden (have a look below). With that one I worked almost all continents with only 100 watts of power in the last years. I often can be heard in the great contests, specially in CW. The other antennas are a vertical R7000 usable on 7 bands starting from 40m up. The frequencies above 30 MHz are radiated by different Yagi antennas using a liftable tower. I am intending to graduate up to 3 cm-band, not loosing the sight on the lower bands, also looking for 500kHz.

Since 9 years I am leading the local Radio-Amateur society G01 in DARC (OVV Section Aachen) witch has about 110 members.

My family: My wife Hildegard and three children: My son George born in 1982 is a diplomed electric engineer and working at a well known telephone company at Duesseldorf. He owns the callsign DJ2GW. My elder daughter Christine born in 1984 working at an architecture buro and my youngest daughter Hannah from 1996 finished the high-school in 2014 with the BAC and now is a student at the University of Bonn.

The picture shows DK2BJ with homebuilt/own-calculated 80m / 160m magnetic-loop in the garden during wintertime: The Box on Top containing the motordriven Jennings Vacuum-C handling up to 18kV. So the antenna can easyly be worked with the here allowed power of 750 W.

The picture below shows the latest QTH as LA/DK2BJ in JP44XA activating 6m and 4m with a logperiodic antenna from ANJO antenna design.
