My passion is to make all my rigs by myself. My equipment is home made and homebrew as many as possible.
The current rig is:
- 5 Watt QRP SDR TRX based on Hermes Board.
- Homebrew Linux Software "gHermes" (Debian 8, 64 Bit), at the top right, with HAM Lib connection
to Logbook "xlog", left side, and antenna switch box "Antennenschalter", in the lower right window on my display.
Look at http://dk3wx.darc.de/
- Dipole 2x13,5m about 10m high with LC Tuning via Relais in the dipole centre and
control cable lead into the shack - no other electronics outdoors.
It runs from 40 to 10 m band.
In addition a 10m Mono Band Dipole give better DX signals if the band is open and a
50 m end feed LW for the lower bands.
Control unit inside, right picture, switches the tuning and antenna selection.
It automatically follows the TRX QRG but manual operation is also possible.
Because I had many problems with radio interference from the computer
now I use a fiber optics interface connection between PC and Controller.
- I made my own Key's but the Schurr-Squeeze-Keyer works faster, .
I collect QSL cards - so if possible please QSL via the Buro.
