Ham Radio Station DL4TO

About me:
On air since 1977, qrv on HF and VHF.
After a long time of interrupt, restart of “Ham-Radio” and qrv again since 2011, only in qrp (99% cw) on HF/VHF and with small antennas.

In the range of the qrp-frequencies I found some curious signals from the top of the mountains…
Since that time, my main focus is SOTA -Summits on the air- and GMA -Global Mountain Activitiy-, both activating and chasing.

But I´m always looking for other amazing QTH´s like Lighthouses, Isle´s and nice places in WWFF- and WCA-programs.

I like also to take part in “small” VHF-contests
from mountains with 5 W-equipment and

After relocation from Baden Wuerttemberg to Hesse, I´m now exploring my new home country. And you maybe shure: ham-radio-equipment is mostly with me!

Since November 2017, I am the SOTA Regional Manager for Baden Wuerttemberg (DM/BW) and Hesse (DM/HE).

German DOK: F31, Member of DARC - Deutscher Amateur Radio-Club e.V.
Member also of VFDB - Verband der Funkamateure in Telekommunikation und Post e.V.

FT 817 ND / KX 2
Complementary equipment, wherever applicable, is home-made.
Continually improving it and searching always for the “best antenna in field”, such as:
KW: doublet with tuned feeder, linked dipoles, hy-end-fed´s (Fuchsantennen), J-Antennas…
VHF: Quadlong, Moxon and some Yagis…
