I was licensened in 1988 at the age of 16 and acquired the HF license straight away.
CW had already been fascinating to me and it still is!

My main interests are in DX and contests, preferably in CW, of course.

One of the drivers for amateur radio is home brewing to me. I made quite a lot of homemade
equipment, from small devices like a DDS VFO for my Drake 7-line up to an amplifier using a 4CX1500B tube.

Since August 2010 I am the QSL manager for DL0AO and DR5Z. If you want a QSL for these
calls just send me an email and you will receive your card via the bureau without having to send a QSL to me.
You still can, of course!

Before and after the CQWW SSB 2010 and 2012, I was at Curacao Island and QRV as PJ2/DL5RDO. QSL via bureau to
DL5RDO or directly if you wish.

From August 21st to September 6th 2011, I was be operating from the Seychelles, using the call sign S79DO.
Check the S79DO qrz.com website for updates.

I like operating when on holiday with my Elecraft K2/100 and a 10m fiber glass pole used as an endfed half wave for 20 and 15 or a vertical for 40 and 30.

2012 IK5/DL5RDO
2013 IK5/DL5RDO
2014 CT7/DL5RDO
2015 CT7/DL5RDO
2016 SV8/DL5RDO

I sent many QSLs via GlobalQSL but received some complaints about not having received the card. If you have not received yours, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me. I do QSL 100%.
