DOK H 24 (Wolfsburg)

Dear Ham Radio Friends and SWL's ,

I was born on 01th December 1960 and I have grown up in a town called Wolfsburg (around 123.000 inhabitants) in eastern lower Saxony. After many years of being very active on 11 meters especially as a DX hunter I decided to prepare myself for the Ham Amateur Radio license (Novice class E) and fortunately passed the exams on 14th April 2016 successfully.

Besides of this wonderful hobby I used to spend my little free time with my Son and other things.

My current radio equipment:

Anan10 (Upgrade to Hermes) / SunSDR2 Pro /Kenwood TS 590s & (PMSDR [RX])

Power amplifier: BLA 350 / Acom1010

MIC: SumbayUK217 / Tonor TS-99

Headset: AKG 240  / ModMic V4.0

Antenna:

SW 160m - 6m: OCF 12m over ground .

My Antenna is a self modification from OCF 27,7m/12,8m long with feeder line and 12m over ground .

UHF/VHF: X300 /  DF6SJ-Antenne Horizontalpolarisation

Power amplifier: Microset SR-100 for SunSDR (2m)

Kuppler: Palstar AT2K  & Guanella Air Coil 4:1 Balun

Digi-Modes

Digi: SunSDR Pro II / Anan 10 / Kenwood TS 590s

Digi-Soft runing with SunSDRPro2 or Anan10

FLDigi,ROS,Soundmodem,UI-View32[ARPS],RMS Express / WinLink (emergency radio)

Self-Build Project Guanella Air Coil 4:1 Balun

Optimization for my Antenna

This allows the antenna to adapt optimally to all bands, better than with a classic 4:1 Balun

This is the first Test Version. I will build this more beautifully in the next version. This works very well.

Here now my second Version. Now it is Finished.
My Antenna is outside center fed dipole 40,6m (27,7 / 12,9) long and 9.5 m homemade parallel wire line.
I get the antenna perfectly adapted from 160-6m with a Palstar AT2K Tuner.
The Balun is 1:4 Gunella Aircoil and a current Balun forced the symmetry to the antenna output.
Indutivity of the coils is 5.46 & 26,25 µH on both sides ( hot / cold = cold / hot )

Anan10ee Upgrade to Hermes SDR

I'm lucky to get one of the last Hermes SDR Radio from an OM who no longer needed it. For later, the Hermes SDR is the ideal platform to build something for your own. I decided to upgrade first. This fits is well with my license class ;-)

First, a few things on the Hermes SDR have to be added so that the original PA can be used and other things that are at the Anan 10ee (See pictures). More Info about this you get here

Here are a few pictures of the expansion of the Anan10ee. Care everything very tight !

PureSignal with the Anan 10

In order not to disassemble the Anan10, there is a simple way to use PureSignal on the Anan10.Thanks again at this point, to Peter (DK6UW) who has brought me on the way. As can be seen in the block diagram, the K19 switches to ground (0bB) when sending, now enough signal from the sampler (40dB) has to come so that the receiver input has something. The response of the signal at the receiver input is sufficient to use PureSignal with the Anan10 without modifying the hardware.

The following components were I used for the sampler:

My sampler is modified according to my wishes and optimized by DK6AE (at this point, thank you Horst) .
The iron core: WE-TOF 74270121 from Würth Elektronik
The resistors: 10.12 ohms and 39.88 ohms (by parallel connection)
The capacitors for the 50 ohm matching over the frequency range must be tested.
They are parallel to the iron coil and 10,12 Ohm resistor.

50 Ohm / -50dB / 5A / 1250W

The result :

Tree Care

Here is tree protected area. Due to the last storm all trees are checked for stability and rotten branches are removed from the trees.

Special thanks goes to Christian DL1OD who trained us and give us a great support. Even my fellow learners a thank with you has the learning fun made despite the ups and downs that we all had.

In hope that I will collect many interesting experiences with this wonderful hobby I close for now with my best personal regards to anybody of you dear friends.
