Hello friends. I'm Rod, EA7JX and be happy to you read this lines. My start in Radio was in 1988 as 9 years old in Citizen bands with my father's rig (Superstar 3900 and 1/4 wave certical). Whit 12 years jump to the "DX" zone in CB, and all day after goes from the school is 27.555 (who not?) and my only dedication in Radio is the DX. With 14 years is the same time when finished the school and start at work (baker), my father Rafael (EC7AIR-EB7HNG) and me with the extra money win in the work, buy an IC 720A and start to learn the HAM Radio codice and Morse. With 15 years, June '93 approved the 2 exams, in November '93 received the EC7ABM callsing. In Spain, only can go to EA licence with 6 month with EC callsing, and in June of '94, with 75 countries confirmed jump to EA7AGW, the 15 of December of '94. 1 month ago, with many work in the night made hot bread to sell, buy an TS850S and 3 el. yagi. Many DX now for me... In march '95, operated as AM7AGW during 15 days when the daugher of the King of Spain, married in Sevilla, and 1 week more the 1st International Contest CQ WPX Phone. I started within read the bases :) so took the magazine and read all bases and go ahead with me contest. After 48 hours, I operated as Monooperator Monoband 14 MHz. low power, with 948 QSO and 103 DXCC entities. WOW¡ Was incredible, and I listened Pacific Ocean, Japan and Far East in the same time with many stations (in this time, the propagation was poor). 9 month after, I received an big envelope from the CQ Award in NJ, and when openned the award wrote the 1st of EA in this category, 7th in EU and 9th in world... You think my exitation :) With my EA7AGW, win 4 more contest (so, only 1st in EA) in CQ WW CW '95 21 mhz low power, CQ WW Phone '99 assited and 2 ARRL 10 Meters CW and mixed '96 '99 respectly. And for me, the best news in '96 was the Ceuta Contest Team look at me for contest in my 1st Multi Station category. ED9EA, was incredible. In July of '99, I buy and new antenna, the cushcraft X7, ICOM 756 and Ameritron 800 W aomplifier, the same time testing new shack in the IARU contest '99, with only 5 QSO :) I was end in bad conditions, with 2 long days with the antenna upload. After 5 years with EA7AGW, (the goverment of EA, only can approved to 2 letters in suffix with 5 years old as EA), I send to the provintial office 5 possible callsings (EA7XX, EA7ZX, EA7JX, EA7XZ and EA7KX.... many "X" he he he) and 15 days after, the provintial office send me the EA7JX, dated at 19 January 2000. Whit this callsing only DX, but contest only operated in Multi-single and Multi-Multi category, but in my parents house, can't operated with neighbours problems. I was operated as EA4ML, AN4URE, and ED4URE in CQ WW Phone '99, CQ WPX phone '00 and CQ WW phone '00. In the FB contest resort in Leganes, Madrid. My 1st Multinational operation was in EA8, EA8ZS (thanks to Manolo, EA8ZS for He great forms for be a big friend). I know the SuperB contest Station of EA8BH, EA8AH and EA8EA resort.I was operated as EA8ZS '01 in Multi-Single category with many EA8s, EA1AK, and the 1st time with non Spanish operators, DL6FBL and DL2NBU (the comes from the record CN8WW 1999 record Multi-multi). Was fantastic the new sperience in this realtions with non Spanish (the big problem for me in the English.... and now :) he he he) Since '01 I can't operated many time in radio my the work ocupped me 100% of the time. But the best for me, is the 80% of the daily is my 2nd work (after the bakery). The QSL, I created my own business of QSL in 1999(www.qslcard.org), and for now (april '04) I printed around 5,000,000 of QSL with 300 differents callsing around 103 entities. My WEB site have the 30% of my QSL printed in images and all of my purchases are very happy for my work. I believe, the better is make QSL for an HAM. Also, I'm the DX editior of the CQ Radio Amateur magazine in Spanish language. For that and the QSL, my head still think in the Radio, no Dxing, so yes in this beautiful world.

Many thanks again for read this words I hope to see you in bands and remember, look at my WEB site.. are the better... :) 73s de Rod EA7JX
