I am not a member of the radio society and do not have access to the buro. There are only two ways to QSL. Use the log applet below to be sure you are in the log. You can email me to check and correct any error or omission if necessary.

1. QSL direct, covering my costs of replying to you and enclosing a return envelope. Current Irish postage rates mean a minimum of $2 is required. This will cover up to 9 QSOs - if sending for more contacts, an extra $ is needed. Insufficient or no postage means no reply. Any extra $ helps towards costs of operating, cards, etc. No pre-paid envelopes, stamps, coin (except European stations can send a 2 Euro coin if they wish), e-cards. I cannot accept IRCs because the Irish Post Office will not accept them. If you send an IRC you will not get a QSL.

2. Send a PayPal payment of  a minimum 2.50 euro  to erik.ei4kf@gmail.com using "friends and family" option if possible (it is ok if not available). Do not use any other email address for PayPal.

or use the secure link below

Go to https://paypal.me/ei4kf and enter in the euro amount to send me the payment, minimum 2.50 euro

VERY IMPORTANT - Send an email to erik.ei4kf@gmail.com giving the QSO data. Time, Date, Band, Mode, and your Callsign. I will reply to confirm receipt of your PayPal payment.

I will send you a QSL direct.

Licenced since 1985, as G0CGL I worked and confirmed all DXCC entities (No 1 Honor Roll, achieved 1993, first G0) with all or nearly all entities confirmed on every band except 6 and 160m (100+ those bands).  In October 2011, I relocated to EI and started activity as EI4KF. My current QSL card shows nearby Lough Arrow. Lough is pronounced 'lock' and means lake.

I am QRV 160m - 6m on SSB, CW and digital modes. If you need EI on a particular band or mode, email for a sked. I can be QRV most times to suit you.

Hexbeam: 6mtrs - 20mtrs; Rotary Dipole: 30mtrs; Vertical on 12mtr Spiderpole: 40mtrs; OCF Dipole: 60mtrs; Vertical on 18mtr Spiderpole: 80mtrs; Inverted-L on 18mtr Spiderpole: 160mtrs.

Topband: 20 February - A total of 10 JAs were worked on FT8. JA9NFO, JA9KRO, JA7EPO, JR4OZR, JH4ALY, JE4URN, JA5AUC, JA4DND, JR3NZC, JA4OPW.  Some JAs called but then were not able to get their report. I will keep trying 1840/1908 at 21UTC on as many days as I can.

1 On FT8, I call CQ DX or CQ AS or CQ JA and do not work any Europeans. Please respect directional calls. On FT8 mode, WSJTx / JTDX typically decode a maximum of only 2 stations on the same DF. Therefore EUs should never respond to my CQ DX or CQ AS or CQ JA to avoid QRMing. You only waste your time.

2 Because many EUs do not know their location or do not care, and cause QRM, JAs and other DX are recommended to call me SPLIT if you can.

3 I do not need your Grid. Skip it and send the dB report with your first transmission. It is quicker and takes full advantage of the available propagation. This will be very important if 6mtrs opens to JA this summer. Stations that send the report first will be the ones I answer before those sending their Grid.

4 Ensure you listen and can transmit in the lowest 500kHz of each FT8 band. 0-500kHz usually has less QRM and that is where you will find me, especially when calling JA.

5 Do not call for a dupe JT65 or FT8 QSO on the same band/mode. I will ignore you. You waste your time.

6 If you are not sure that your FT8 QSO is in my log, check the online Clublog below. As I log you, your QSO will show almost immediately. You may need to refresh your browser.

If you made a QSO with me but your callsign does not appear in my log search, please email to check and have any log error corrected. Especially on 80m, there are some busted calls but I am happy to amend my log if you let me know.

The log is in real-time for FT8 and also SSB / CW except during contests.

QSL card update: As at 24 February 2018, all cards received with an envelope + sufficient return postage,

together with PayPal QSL requests, have been answered.
