Hi, I'm Ronan and I'm licensed since December 2014. My previous callsign was EI5HRB but I managed to pass the Morse test and get a shorter call. My main rig is an Icom IC-746 which I use with an MFJ-925 automatic ATU. If I am out portable I use a Yaesu FT-897 for HF/VHF/UHF or I might use my ICOM IC-706 MKII. For mobile operation I have an Icom IC-207H rig in the car and various handhelds. Also in the house is an Alinco DR-138H 2m rig, I have a Watson W-300 vertical antenna for 2m/70cms, a Cushcraft A270-10S for 2m/70cms SSB. For HF I use a Myantennas.com endfed half-wave for 80 to 10 metres (no tuner required) and an Antron 99 vertical which works well for DX from 20m-10m. For satellite & portable VHF/UHF operation I have an Arrow II 2m/70cms antenna with duplexer which is paired with a Wouxun KG-UV9D+ HT. I use JT65 and FSK RTTY a lot with a Rigblaster Pro interface but like to talk a bit too!
QSL via LOTW preferred but paper QSL cards are welcome too directly or by the bureau. When sending by the bureau please only send if you actually need a particular band/mode confirmed - I do not have time to respond to all bureau requests. When sending cards direct please enclose funds for return postage and a SAE. IRCs are not valid in Ireland. Cards with no money to cover postage costs will be returned via the bureau. Please no SWL reports - I will only send a card to those I actually have a QSO with as it is too time consuming.
QSL info for EI5HRB: all logs have been uploaded to LOTW & eqsl. No more QSL via the bureau - if you need a card send an SAE with 2 green stamps directly.
