I am a disabled Radio Amateur suffering from Muscular Atrophy. I have been licensed since 1984, but with this call since 1986. I also reactivated my previous callsign of G1MIE in 2008, so listen out for both calls in the pile-ups!

I am NOW only a member of NARC (Norfolk Amateur Radio Club) locally and CDXC (Chiltern DX Club), the UK DX Foundation and the following;

BARTG #8010

EPC #7160

DMC #2121

30MDG #2188

NDG #077

TRC #002

DD #002

HPC #580

FH #5141

I've been OFF AIR for almost 18 months, but now I am back active on bands 160m through to 70cm but tend to stay on HF mostly!!!! So far I've worked 304 (309 inc. deleted DXCC) countries in total, mostly on SSB (291), but CW (249) is catching up since rekindling my interest in 2007 and Data (173), always hoping and looking for yet more DX! I am active on most Digital modes of PSK31, PSK63, PSK125 and RTTY, especially in contests so I hope to see you on my screen soon?

My main station is an Icom IC-775DSP complete with Microham Micro-keyer II into a Cushcraft MA5B @ up to 15m above the ground or the ground-mounted HF6V installed for 80m/40m and 30m. I also have a Yaesu FT-847 for some of my HF digital escapdes, but mostly just for VHF/UHF.

QTH here only 18.5m ASL!!!!!

I was extremely proud to be involved with BDXG, it's achievements since its formation which I was heavily involved with as the founding Secretary from 2004. I left in 2015 but in 2010 I managed to win the group's 3 main HF Trophies, this was a first for the club and I hope you'll agree they make a nice addition to any shack?

Left to Right: BDXG Annual HF Bands Trophy, The Bittern DX Chaser Cup and BDXG Annual Data Trophy

QSL's okay via the bureau or direct, if sending direct please include a $1 (Europe), $2 (if Outside Europe) for return. I am registered on eQSL (AG) but I prefer the paper cards for my awards, plus my logs are uploaded to LOTW regularly...

Hope to meet you soon...

** Due to the many scams re: the selling of radio equipment, I would like to point out that I only ever sell equipment on a face to face basis and NEVER ask for money up front. I only sell equipment to people who have tried it out first and are happy that it works all ok. Don't send money to anyone claiming to be me, be careful before you buy.**
