I was born in Wakefield West Yorkshire in 1947 moved to Chapel St Leonards January 25th 2012  Open station 06 February2012. Married to Sue she holds a foundation licence M3TCT.I started in amateur radio as a short wave listener when I was between 12 and 13 years old did a bit of construction also started with ex government surplus 19 sets BC348 R1155 AR88D and then a brand new Eddystone 888A. In 1986 got my B licence my call was G1UDG and in 1988 got my class A licence.My transceiver is a Icom 7700 .QRV on 160m use an inverted L tuned with insulated radials and also run a fan dipole for 60m and 80 up at 60 ft high which you can see from a distance from the qth .QTH is just over 100m from where the picture was taken of the sea.Chapel St Leonards is a village a small holiday resort with its own Parish council. The village is about 6 miles North of Skegness.Enjoy walking my dog Zac on the sea front don't ask me his breed but not what he should be hi think he could be a 57 hi.
