I was first licensed in 1988 with B license call G7EHL before passing the Morse test in 1993 and becoming G0UBX. I have enjoyed many aspects of the hobby over the years and did not do much radio between 1998 and 2009 just mobile from the car and had many great contacts on HF. I now have moved to a house where I can once again have antennas and I am once again able to enjoy the hobby form home.
I am currently using a Flex 6700 and a Icom IC-7100 and a Icom IC-7300 in the shack and a Icom ID-5100 & IC-706MKII mobile.
I use three antennas a Hustler 6BTV 6 band vertical, Cushcraft original MB5 beam and 6 band CobWeb. I used for some time an MFJ 1025 Noise cancelling signal enhancer which made the station workable on HF after suffering QRM at S9 since I moved to the new QTH. It needs an extra external antenna and some practice but if you have QRM get one of these..!!
Having found recently the source of the S9 noise, a power supply on my sons external PC hard drive which was soon removed I no longer need the MFJ and have sold it.
The newest addition to the shack is the Expert 1K-FA Linear Amp used at 400W output, a great little bit of kit for the price.
