Don't know about you guys, but DX has certainly arrived at my place.

Just in case the bands are dead I may just use this little fella who dropped in to say hello whilst I was working on my shed.

There are times when I'd glady swap my bike for the King Tiger (La Gleize 2017), especially whilst

travelling the M25.

Me along side U-995 in Laboe ,Germany. (26th June 2013)

........................................................................................................................................................................

Equipment consists of :-

Tower No1 40ft free standing, also guyed as an extra precaution.

Tower No2 is a 60ft Strumech HD mounted on a trailer.

Below is the donor trailer as it arrived at my QTH.

60ft HD tower now mounted, some substantial modifacations to trailer though well worth

the time and effort. Both original winches as seen in picture have been replaced, the luffing

is still hand operated though a beast of a winch which makes it easier. The raising/lowering

winch is a brand new Goodwinch and really does the business,so much so I may even go

electric with the luffing.

Getting closer to going out.

Going out for the first time.

Everything went well, though high winds meant I didn't take it to the max.

Mobile tower going up on my property, next time I'll have a 20ft rotatable pole on top with an antennae to see if all the effort was worthwhile.

Equipment currently in use :-

Elecraft K3 with Panadaptor.

Icom 737A, a gift from JY1

Paddle is a V22,presented to me by G4DZW,sadly now SK (8Nov 2012)

Antennae :- Cushcraft A4S @ 46ft and A3WS @ 40ft.,that's me about 30ft up the tower.
