Home of the 40M washing line antenna

On 40 m, I use either an inverted vee at 6m high at its highest point or this washing line dipole antenna whch is just 2m above ground, but if the washing is wet that level drops to 1,5m. The feed point is just to the left of the socks.

Thanks for looking me up. My QTH is in West Sussex, near Gatwick Airport. WAB is TQ33. I operate mainly HF CW due to the very basic station I use, comprising a trusty old

Yaesu FT1000MP or Kenwood TS450 running about 80W to a selection of very low delta loops or dipoles only a meter or two above ground. I am occasionally on SSB particularly on the LF bands.

If you want a QSL I am not in the buro any longer so please send me an e-mail to organise an exchange.

I hope to hear you on the bands soon.

Come to Sussex, for the night life:

or the day flying Humming-bird Hawk Moth:

Other critters seen at this QTH from time to time:

The grass snake comes to chase the frogs.

The sparrowhawk chases all the other birds:

Other rare visitors to the qth include the Purple Emperor butterfly and the Jersey Tiger moth:
