Hi and thanks for reading this..........

Just a little about me and my station.

I've been licenced since the late 80's.  Whilst I haven't been on-the-air for the last few years, I've recently started up again on 2Mtr, 70cm and Digital D-Star.  I guess my main current interests lie with the latter.

My station consists of a couple of old Hand-helds & a new Digital IC-E92D.  I also have a Kenwood TS-2000 & a TR-751E.  Antenna wise I have a Diamond dual-band co-linier and a cob-web for HF, both approx 15 mtrs AGL.  I also listen out using an AOR AR8600.  Additionally I use a couple of older lap-tops and a DV Dongle for Digital when I can’t get into a D-Star Repeater using radio.

APRIL 2010 - Just recently been introduced to PSK31 by John G8CAU - purchased a ZLP DigiMaster Pro interface and I'm now learning about using this facinating mode on 20mtrs - boy is there much to learn !!

May 2010 - Trying to get approval to establish a DStar simplex "HotSpot" on 2 mtrs.  If I can get approval we'll have DStar (of sorts) available in north Cumbria for the first time.

29th May 2010 - DStar Simplex node up-and-running.  See callsign MB6CA for more info.

November 2014 - MB6CA frequency change to 144.8125

Please see website mb6ca.co.uk for more info about my DStar Node

Hope to hear you or see your messages soon
