Our little museum has now been issued with the permanent special event call GB2SPY.   We have a selection on wireless sets from 1939 up to the mid sixties and am adding more as finances permit!

All our equipment is in full working condition and aerials are available for all Amateur bands.    We want people to have the experience of operating these wireless sets and perhaps appreciate just what the operators had to contend with.

If anyone wishes to operate please contact me by email and we can arrange a suitable time.

Since last update there have been several additions to the collection as well as the purchase of a box trailer to house the gear.   There is a permanenbt display of the larger equipment that is fully working.   There is a Clark mast fitted to the trailer and this can either be used as an aerial or to suport dipoles etc.

Permanent display consists of a WS19HP, WS62, ANGRC9, and a Canadian WS52 (the big boy!) Syncal 30.   To suppliment this there is an Icom IC-7200 and an auto tuner for either matching of the aerials to 50 ohms for use on the WS gear or for the modern operator to have some fun.  ( we do not allow the use of the call GB2SPY on modern equipment)
