First Operational 8th March 2008 (D-STAR)
Covering the towns of
Bewdley, Kidderminster & Stourport on Severn
in the Wyre Forest
Locator: IO82UJ
Keeper: G8OXG
In it’s 10th year of operation GB7WF has recently undergone a major change.
D-STAR is still the priority on GB7WF, but from 26th January 2018 the repeater also offers access to other popular Digital Voice modes Yaesu System Fusion (C4FM) & DMR.
Access to GB7WF
Please set your radio's Time Out Timer to 3 minutes (180 seconds) and leave a 2 - 3 second gap between overs for others to call in, or if linked to a reflector time for distant users to link their local Gateway elsewhere.
Output 439.4875MHz
Input 430.4875MHz
Access to the Dplus (REF) & DCS Reflector’s is enabled.  Callsign routing is not available on GB7WF, for example transmitting UR /GB7YK will not result in any access to GB7YK.
Reflector time-out after no local RF activity is 9 minutes.
Yaesu System Fusion (C4FM)
Only the repeater's input & output frequencies and your call sign correctly entered in your transceiver is required for local access.
Use the DX button on your Yaesu Wires-X enabled transceiver to control the gateway and link to the YSF Reflectors (not Wires-X). Linking requests using DTMF are not available.
Reflector time-out after no local RF activity is 9 minutes
Colour Code 13
Slot 1 Talk Group 1 for local RF use only
Slot 2 Talk Group 9 for Network access
Slot 2 does NOT use any other Talk Group other than 9 which is required to access to the Brandmeister Network.
Linking and un-linking requests are transmitted to Private Call numbers using Manual Dial which is usually found in the Contacts menu in most DMR radios.
For example, to link to the Brandmeister UK wide Reflector transmit the Private Call number 4400 using Manual Dial, to un-link transmit the private call number 4000.
After your request to link to a reflector make sure you switch your radio to transmit to Talk Group 9 so you will hear and be heard by others on the Reflector.
Linking requests using DTMF are not available.
Reflector time-out after no local RF activity is 9 minutes.
The modes “hang” for approximately 15 seconds before the repeater returns to “idle” where it is then ready to receive a transmission on any of the three modes. For example if YSF is in use then the other modes are on standby for approximately 15 seconds after RF users have finished, same applies if the repeater is in use on D-STAR or DMR.
Updates will be posted here.
