My interest in Ham Radio was aroused by G2CDN who I could hear on a crystal set when I was thirteen years old. In the early sixties I joined the Hounslow Radio Club and the RSGB. In 1962 I passed the RAE after attending evening classes at Brentford. I was a SWL until 1969 when G3NHH gave me a QQVO320a to build a 2m rig and I applied for my callsign .In recent years I have run a APRS 24 -7. Started retirement in January 2010. Moved to IOM 9th October 2010.  Joined IOMRS 2012. My Vhf Uhf activity is low due lack of beam antennas. October 2014 acquired a Ft dx 3000. May 2015 I got a IC7100 and dabbled with Dstar using a BabyDstar. My DMR number is 2356008 my local repeater is GB7BR, regional TG820. DMR is the best thing since sliced bread! Allowing me to work stations on UHF back in my old location under any condition. I am now also on the Brandmaster network. I have two DV4minis, two Openspots, a BabyDstar and a Dvmega which is now used for my Brandmaster  hotspot. I have now updated my QSL card for the digital modes.
