(ex G8UGJ Birmingham Uni) now living in North East Wales, UK
Where I might be
The AllStar-UK hub is accessible from local RF gateways on simplex using analogue radios, from PC based access points and from some bridged reflectors into other digital modes
Sometimes found mobile on APRS here transmitted by a TH-D7e*, TM-D700e or ID-51e which attaches location to DStar transmissions- and most recently the FT1XDE has full APRS installed.
Sometimes up a hill http://www.sota.org.uk - I live quite close to Moel Fammau, Foel Fenlli, Moel Gyw, Moel Y Gammelin and Cyrin-Y-Brain. In the middle of Mold is a hillock that was once a Norman Hillfort.
Radios owned (* no longer)
IC202S, Pye Compact*, Multi Palm IV*, FDK750e/430a. DJ580e. Icom IC207R. FT-902DM*. TH-D7e*. FT817. SG-2020, Mitzuho MX-14s, TH-D700e. Icom ID51e. DP3400. DP3600. (and another Alinco Handi I bought second hand but forget the number, and a massive Storno* on 4m.)
Dongles DVAP. DV-MEGA. DV4mini. and a Tiny-2 TNC.
Facebook pages -
GB7HM DMR Repeater (unofficial)
My now defunct but archived website (silly me, they offered to archive it in 2001 or so, but I forgot that this meant it would be uneditable and out of date from then on) included APRS/CE (for the pocketpc) and APRS for Cybiko. Using a Nokia 9110/8210 and PockletPC. Magnetic loop antennas. Oh and picture of Blackpool - quite possibly my favourite place... and why not :)
I have produced a few amateur radio apps for android
How about 3D videos (these are formatted for 3DTV) even though hardly anyone makes them now (Panasonic are selling one model)
oh, and don't start me on Goldwings - I had a GL1500SEN circa 1991 until 2016 but now have a smaller CTX1300. Smaller being a relative term.
