First licensed as G3KJW in 1955 and operated from various qth's in England. In 1982 moved to Wales and added the W to my call sign becoming GW3KJW.

Council member of the Royal Signals Amateur Radio Society (Life Member) .

Interested in the HF bands mainly and enjoy DX chasing with a 40metre dipole  and a SteppIR vertical aerial and normally 100 watts of power but can be heard on VHF chatting to local amateurs.

Very active on JT9, JT65 and FT8 running 25watts  to 40 metre dipole or SteppIR vertical aerial.

Transceivers FT920 and FT1200DX with Acom 1000 amplifier which has yet to be used.

From the 18th June 2015 for 28 days I was operating GB2BOW,,which commemorated the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.
