Operating as FK/HB9DQM/P in Nov 2017, and ZL/HB9DQM/P and VK/HB9DQM/P in Dec 2017.
Portable SOTA CW/SSB operation; see sotawatch.org for advance alerts about activations. Some QRP digimode operation from residence in Nouméa (as FK/HB9DQM) is possible. Complete eQSL, LoTW and Club Log uploads will be made upon my return in January 2018. Paper QSLs sent via bureau or direct will also be answered after my return.

Thanks for stopping by, and for the QSO if we've already had one :)

I've been licensed in 2000, but am only active on shortwave since 2015. I like the entire "holy trinity" of amateur radio modes — CW, phone and digital (PSK, JT, RTTY etc.) — and switch among these modes often. At home, I have some simple dipoles for 10-80m hidden in my barn, and an HB9CV for 6m, all connected to a FlexRadio 6500. Occasionally, I operate it remotely, controlling the radio from my mobile phone while I'm on the move.

I often operate portable, as I'm very interested in SOTA and have activated a few summits, with hopefully many more to come in the future. For portable operation, I usually use my KX3 with an end-fed wire antenna or an AlexLoop.

Recently I have created HamAlert, a system to get push/SMS/email notifications when a desired station gets spotted on SOTAwatch, the DX cluster or the RBN.

QSL note: I always QSL via eQSL.cc and LoTW. I will also reciprocate QSL cards sent via the bureau or direct.
