Hello OM / YL

Thanks for looking up at my QRZ page. My name is Matthias, QTH is Bern, capitol of Switzerland.

It was a long way to my objectiv:

A internet remote ham radio station outside the town Bern. Now, the dream comes true:

Location: Schwarzenburg, 30km SSW from Bern, on 850 meters about sea level

Milestones of project

2005: Looking for a remote location

2011: Purchase of the site

2012: Technical modification of the infrastructure, commissioning of test systems

2013: First tests with Remoterig System RCC 1258:

- ICOM IC-E2820

- Kenwood TS-480

2015: End of technical tests with the resultat: Location is suitable!

2016: Start grant process

2017: After many talks, lots of paper, many hurdles, many expenses, the long-awaited grant is there, and it can go: Joy prevails!

And now the most important thing: Nothing goes without good friends!

Matthias

.... we thought everything would be ready and ok ....
but the effortlessly installed new X-300 antenna did not work ....

21.08/23.08.2017:

This was followed by fault locating, antenna deinstallation,
antenna installation of the replacement antenna from Frank,
test by means of an antenna analyzer.

Without the experienced climber and technical specialist Christoph this would not have gone.

November 2017: An example with WSPRnet (2W Power), antenna directed to America. Looks nice, like a leased line to America:

November 2017: An other example with FT8: We are heard from time to time:

This is certainly not the end of the story, let us be surprised smiley

Best 73 de HB9EHO,

Matthias
