Thank you for visiting my page on QRZ.com as well for the QSO's.

Working now as HI8/HB9EMR, Locator FK58el: Boca Chica in Dominican Republic

Stay since November 2010 here in the Dominican Republic and worked as Ham on different places. First in Sosua as HI3, in San Pedro de Macoris as HI7 and now in Boca Chica as HI8.

Use now in my Shack a PERSEUS SDR Receiver in combination with the ICOM IC-706 MKIIG as Transmitter, both are syncronized by the SW HamRadio Deluxe. A HEIL PR871 Microphone connected to the PreSonus TUBEPre/COMP16/EQ3B as audio equipment which goes direct to the Modulator Input of the IC-706 to enhance the audio quality, and a ICOM IC-730 as Backup Transeiver. A DRAKE MN-4 Antenna Tuner to match the wired Dipols. A Yaesu FT-5100 FM-Tranceiver for the 2 Meter and 70 Centimeter Bands.

As Antennas, a 3-Element Yagi for the 15 meter Band from SuperAntenna, three Wire Dipole's for the 40, 20 and 17 meter Bands. Also the 12 and 10 meter Bands are working quite well by tuning through the Drake Tuner.

Will see what is comming in the future with maybe some new Antennas!

Working also in Switzerland at Locatior JN46me: Paudo/Pianezzo TI

At the shack there I have FLEX-5000A Transeiver, a ACOM-1000 Power Amplifier and a PALSTAR AT-AUTO Tuner. The Microphone is a HEIL PR-40 which is connected through the TC Electronic 'Gold Channel' Processor as Mic Preamplifier to the FLEX Radio.

As Antennas a OptiBeam 11-3 for the 20/15/10 meter Bands, 15 meters over the ground on a telescopic mast. Above the OptiBeam there is also a Flexayagi/11-Elements for the 2 meter Band and a Dimond X-450 for the 2 meter and 70 centimeter Bands. For the 80/40 meter Bands I have a wire Dipol connected by Feederline, 31 meter long and about 10 meters over the ground, not shown on the picture.

That's the current working condition at the moment.

Wish you all the best and good DX'ing.

Best 73 from HB9EMR, HI8/HB9EMR, Mario
