We live in the mountains outside of Medellin at 2440 meters where it runs between 10 and 18 degrees C daily.  Since we are at 6 degrees north of the equator the sun is very intense.    We have two seasons, winter when it rains and summer when it rains less.  We have many websites however the primary is www.rn.org which offers online continuing education units for nurses and various healthcare professionals. The antennas are a  DX Engineering (Bencher) Skyhawk which is a 10 element full size (no traps) tribander with 3 elements for each 15 and 20 meters and another 4 elements for 10 meters on a hill with a 40 meter rotable dipole above. The Skyhawk works great on the WARC bands as well with a significate gain vs the 2 element K4KIO hex which it replaced.  There also is a DX Engineering 43 foot vertical with 60 radials and a Zero-Five 80 meter loading coil in the woods with radials running into the springs.  For HF we have an Elecraft K3, P3, Alpha 8410 and Palstar AT2KD.  We also have a Yaesu FTDX-3000 with a P3 and  a IAC double bazooka on the roof above the 20th floor 10 meters from the beach in Santa Marta.   The microphones are a Heil PR-40 and a Electrovoice RE-320 with external audio processing by Behringer.  We also have a weather station as HK2LS-A and a APRS Digi and iGate as HK2LS-7 and HK2LS-8

Our weather stations are Vantage Vues and they report to the various networks including APRS as HK2LS (in Santa Marta)  and HK2LS-A (in El Retiro).

Cheers and 73's from Colombia --
