icom ic765, what else..?

my dynamic antenna in summer QTH

About me, i was born in the spring of 1943 during the WW ( world war, not a world wide contest). I started my activity as a SWL in 1961 (i1-11112) and license ( i1ZSQ ) in 1963. My first equipment was a homebrew RX 18 tubes for AM/CW/SSB and a 50W TX single 807 for CW/AM, with a Windom antenna. In 1965 a good improvement with a wonder Hallicrafters line. Honored to be one of the I0FGM team (with my friends of Bologna DX Gang), who worked for the first time from the Villa Griffone (the Guglielmo Marconi house ) in 1965 on the WWDX SSB Contest multiop-single tx ( 2nd in the standings behind ET3USA ), station then became memorial permanent station II4FGM in the '70 and finally IY4FGM. One of 9A1AIJ team from S.Marino in '63 WWDX and '64 ARRL phone test, IZ4VEQ team in WWDX '78, IR4LCK team in WWDX '88 , 9A1ONU winner team in '80 WPX-SSB and I4RYC winner team in '80 WWDX Phone multiop/single tx and IQ4A team until '89. My best single opr. a 1st Eu- 4th world in 40mt. in the WPX/SSB test '71 and a 2nd Eu-7th world in 15mt. in the WPX SSB '81. Today i like a contest-sharing especially in low bands. I like to play with antennas (always home made) and with radio set ( finally retired after 40 years in service center to repair the equipment of amateur radio). In the last 40 years i have spent much time in building a bamboo and a fiberglass boomless quad, delta loop, yagi, verticals, dipole, short and long wire and so on. Today i'm running with a 10 m. long fishing rod vertical multiband or a invisible 43 m. endfed for low bands, with home made remote tuner. My old TB4 Swan yagi rests in my poland QTH. In my shack make a fine display a old Icom collection: ic701, ic740, ic751, ic751A, ic765 ( my best.), a old TS940, a young-looking R4A Drake and finally a small FTdx3000. Sometime i call for help to my modest TL922 (only for a furious pile-up). I had done 369 DXCC phone ( 2700 in the 10 challenger-bands ) with 30 deleted countries, 5BDXCC, WAP, WAS, WAZ, DTA, DUFexc, WPX , YASME and others well know awards (last one in 1992), but I will not ask for any more updates award..   From just 7 years I restarted to use CW, but i'm still very far from being able to handle a pile-up. I like collecting old bugs and telegraph keys. I'm also QSL manager for 9A1ONU San Marino 1980-WPX SSB contest and IQ4A-1989 contest activity. In the summer time I'm active as SP / I4ZSQ from Dobuzek, a small village in the S / E of Poland, my wife QTH, where I can play with larger antennas. Speaking of DX, I do not like the careless use of packet cluster today, producer of false DXers and QRM and I do not like hearing about the dishonest use of the remote SDR from the real DXers ..  Sometimes I regret the DXNS Geoff Watts beautiful times.
