K0SIX – (Grid Square EN35dj)        (operator Vince)

Thanks for looking me up on QRZ. Usually this means we have had a successful QSO or contact on the bands. Please note that I will QSL via LOTW, Direct Mail (SASE please), or via the Bureau.

I am also the QSL manager for KA0PQW Matt Arthur. All of Matts QSO’S will be verified by direct QSL, SASE only.

Thanks for making another trip to EN48oc so much fun.

All logs have been uploaded to LOTW.

If you would like a QSL card please send SASE to K0SIX at address above.

2015 EN48 Grid Expedition - now QRT

My QTH is Big Lake, Minnesota.....approximately 35 miles (50km) Northwest of Minneapolis / St. Paul.

I was first licensed with the call sign of N0VZJ in 1993. We moved to our current QTH in 2000, which allowed me to increase my on the air activity, along with completion of my tower project in the fall of 2003. I was able to pick up the vanity call of K0SIX in the fall of 2008. By No means does this indicate I am a “big gun” on six meters, but if there is an opening into the Midwest, you will probably hear me on. Those of you that know me know that the 6 meter “Magic Band” is where I hang out. I am currently chasing grids for the ARRL “Fred Fish Memorial Award “ on six meters. If you have not experienced a six meter opening , stop by and find out what the “Magic Band” is all about. Yeah it’s a lot of white noise…..but when the band opens….!

I primarily operate on the VHF/UHF “weak signal” bands and am currently set up for 50 mhz, 144 mhz, 222 mhz and 432 mhz. All operation at this point SSB. I enjoy working the VHF/UHF contests and have been quite successful nationally with my current setup. Look for me operating SOLP or Limited Multi-OP from my home QTH.

My operation of the HF bands has been limited, although as of late you can usually find me on 17, 12 or 10 meters, minimal wire antennas set up for 10-80 meters. Also enjoy the HF contests, usually handing out points for others or adding States, or DXCC to the log. Enjoy working some of these contests as a operator for K0JDD or WA0VPJ multi – op stations, and their radio stations. And also at W0G (Big Lake Amateur Radio Enthusiasts) "Field Day" event station.
